Wed, Jan 25: They Drive By Night (Raoul Walsh, 1940)

Wed, April 25: To Have and Have Not (Howard Hawks, 1944)
William Faulkner adapted Ernest Hemingway’s story in which expatriate American Harry Morgan (Bogart) helps to transport a Free French Resistance leader and his beautiful wife to Martinique while romancing a sultry lounge singer. Walter Brennan, Lauren Bacall, and Hoagy Carmichael also star. 100 min.

Wed, May 30: The Big Sleep (Howard Hawks, 1946)
Bogart is private detective Philip Marlowe, hired by a rich family; before the complex case is over, he's seen murder, blackmail, and what might be love. William Faulkner adapted Raymond Chandler’s novel which also stars Lauren Bacall, Dorothy Malone, and Elisha Cook, Jr. 114 min.
