 Charles Troy, a musical historian, presents "The History of Showboat," showing clips and reviewing the history of the musical and Hollywood version of "Showboat." Yhis lecture includes clips of Paul Robeson singing "Old Man River" and shares information about the racial issues and tensions that are boldly conveyed in this musical.
