 Join Howard Willens to hear stories from his newly published book, "History will Prove Us Right: Inside the Warren Commission Investigation into the Assassination of John F. Kennedy." Willens was a 32-year-old attorney in the Criminal Division of the Justice Department when he was recruited for the Commission and became involved in every facet of its work. Willens, who grew up in Oak Park and graduated from Oak Park-River Forest High School, based his book on never-before-seen personal documents and correspondence preserved for 50 years.

Veteran journalist Charlie Meyerson will interview Willens. Meyerson is a contributor to WXRT, WBEZ, and Crain's Chicago Business, and has interviewed authors and other newsmakers weekly over the course of nine years as news and public affairs director at Chicago's WNUA-FM 95.5.

The special program, presented in collaboration with the Historical Society of Oak Park & River Forest, marks the upcoming 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The Historical Society will have copies of Willens book for sale.
