 Critically acclaimed New York Times best-selling author John Searles will present the 2013 Annual Barbara Ballinger Lecture.

Join us for an evening with the author of best-selling novels "Boy Still Missing" and "Strange but True". Searles, who has appeared regularly as a book critic on NBC’s Today Show and CBS' The Early Show, is also the Editor-at-Large of Cosmopolitan. His essays have been published in The New York Times, Washington Post, Daily Beast and other national publications.

The lecture is free, and will be followed by an author reception and signing. Complimentary drinks and light appetizers will be served. Space is limited so register now to attend.

Beginning in 2005, the Barbara Ballinger Lecture is now an annual fall event, hosted by the Friends of the Oak Park Public Library, honoring Ballinger’s 32 years of service as a librarian in the Oak Park community.
