 What does it mean to be a girl in 2014? Women experience gender-based discrimination and violence, and are bombarded with negative messages about not living up to the female 'ideal.' Through films, activities and discussion, adolescent girls will explore gender roles, stereotypes and develop some tools to successfully navigate through the challenges of being a young woman in the 21st Century.

The movie, 'A Girl's Life' explores today's challenges for teen girls, including bullying, social stress and media messages. Please join us for this powerful film.
