Battle of the Bulge: The Forgotten Heroes

Event Type: Adult Program
Date: 11/15/2014
Start Time: 2:00 PM
End Time: 4:00 PM
Celebrate the 70th anniversary of WWII's Battle of the Bulge which happened in December 1944. Hear the stories and walk in the footsteps of American soldiers who battled against Hitler's forces 70 years ago.

In this hour-long presentation, former U. S. Army Signal Corpsman Robert Mueller revisits the places and remembers the men who beat Hitlerís last desperate gamble. Although the Battle of the Bulge was Western Europeís largest battle of the Second World War and eventually involved over 1,000,000 combatants, German plans for turning the tide of the war were defeated by small groups of American soldiers who were in the right place at the right time and frequently made the ultimate sacrifice.
