@home is a journey to the invisible communities of people living without permanent housing. It explores the causes of homelessness and the complexities of living on the street, through the eyes of homelessness advocate, Mark Horvath.Library: Oak Park Public Library Main Branch
Through interviews with newly and chronically homeless individuals, @home distinguishes the first-hand experiences of homelessness. The film connects to larger issues of healthcare, housing and support for veterans and families. Challenging stereotypes, @home asks us all to question how invisible we've allowed America's homeless population to become.
Join @home film director Susanne Suffredin and West Suburban PADS executive director Lynda Schueler to view this 56-minute documentary film by Mark Horvath and discuss how homelessness appears in the Oak Park area and what PADS is doing to address the issues of homeless people.
